Which Credit Cards Are Best For Cash Advances?
Last updated: May 25, 2010
Question: I tend to use my credit card for cash advances when I am short before payday as I get paid monthly. Is there a credit card that is better than the usual with low rates for purchases and 20+% for cash advances?
Answer: You could either make an effort to reduce the cash advances you make – like saving the last $100 of cash you have and buying everything else with your credit card to make use of the lower purchase rate and presumably interest free days or look for a card that has a standard rate for purchases and cash advances.
Several credit union and building society credit cards offer the same rate for cash advances as they do for purchases like the McGrath Pink Visa offered by Community First Credit Union. As a bonus half of the card’s annual fee is donated to the McGrath Foundation for the placement of Breast Care nurses to help women and their families with breast cancer.
