Last updated: May 26, 2010

Following on from our credit card reviews we thought it’d be interesting and useful to write a featured “head to head” credit card comparison series.

Today’s credit card comparison is between the NAB Low Rate and Aussie Mastercard credit cards.

[TABLE=19]

Credit card comparison verdict: Aussie mastercard is offering an introductory purchases interest rate for 6 months where the NAB Low Rate credit card does not. The after the honeymoon purchases interest rate is comparable however the Aussie card currently has the lowest of the rates. Both cards offer 55 days interest free and both have a very low annual fee. Both credit cards have high interest cash advance rates with the Aussie mastercard offering the better rate.

In comparing balance transfer offers we see the biggest difference between these two credit cards. While both offer balance transfer introductory periods of 6 months, the Aussie Matercard balance transfer is a 2% lower interest rate and upon completion of the introductory period the Aussie Mastercard reverts to the variable purchases rate, while the NAB Low Rate reverts to the variable cash advance rate.
