Today’s credit card comparison head to head is between the ANZ Balance and CBA Low Rate credit cards.

Credit card comparison verdict: Neither cards offer an introductory purchases rate and both offer similar purchases interest rates with the CBA Low Rate just edging ahead. Both cards offer up to 55 days interest free. Both cards have good annual fee charges at under $80. Both credit cards have high interest cash advance rates.
In comparing balance transfer offers we see some difference between these two credit cards. While both offer short balance transfer introductory periods CBA offer 5 months while ANZ offers 12. ANZ offer an excellent 2.9% as an introductory balance transfer while the CBA is at 5.99% and at the higher end of introductory rates. At the end of the introductory period the ANZ Balance will charge customers at the purchases rate of 14.49% for any amount outstanding while the CBA Low Rate will revert to the cash advance rate of 21.49%
